The Energy Defense Council's mission is to expedite the acquisition, funding, and execution of programs that strengthen the energy resilience of U.S. military installations, advance operational energy dominance, and provide energy security for critical U.S. infrastructure.

About Tom Holm

Tom Holm is the Executive Director of the Energy Defense Council (EDC), which advances Energy, Drone, and Vehicle Dominance of the U.S. Department of War. He is also the Co-Sector Chief, Energy for InfraGard San Diego, an FBI-affiliated independent nonprofit dedicated to protecting U.S. critical infrastructure and the American people.

Tom works with the U.S. Armed Forces and industry innovators to help maintain mission readiness of the world's largest fleets of manned and unmanned vehicles, vessels and aircraft. To address energy security, he collaborates with industry experts and investors to enhance the development and funding of energy generation, storage and delivery systems using small nuclear reactors, V2G, wind, solar, and other sources.

Under Tom's leadership, EDC hosts the annual Technology, Energy, Vehicle Conference (TEVCON) to enable military and industry leaders to advance energy and mobility technologies, bolster domestic manufacturing, source minerals and materials from the U.S. and allied nations, and obtain accelerated acquisition, government contracts, and non-dilutive funding. Now in its fifth year — and directed by the Administration and military leadership to reconvene in January 2027 — TEVCON anchors San Diego as a Center of Excellence in Maritime Innovation. TEVCON is supported by the U.S. Departments of War, Energy, Homeland Security and the FBI.
